Content Writer – Social Media, Full Time

This is a full-time, on-site role building and managing social media accounts for a range of clients. You’ll own the complete process: developing strategy, creating and editing content, running paid campaigns, and reporting results. As the department grows, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and mentor additional team members.

What the work actually is

You’ll manage multiple client accounts using a proven system built around a specific customer action: Follow, Visit, Book, Buy, Support, or Apply. Your responsibilities include:

Write strategy for each account and present recommendations to clients. Run on-site content capture days: shooting photography and video across restaurants, job sites, showrooms, and other locations. You’ll handle direction, lighting, and audio recording, coming away with enough material to sustain an account for one to three months. Shoot photography suitable for use across social media, websites, and print materials. Edit vertical video with clean audio, color-correcting and finishing your own images. Build and maintain content libraries and 90-day posting calendars for each account. Engage actively on accounts through comments, messages, and community interaction. Build, launch, and manage paid campaigns using advertising platforms, focusing on objectives, audience targeting, budget management, and performance measurement. Report monthly results in clear language, highlighting key numbers and recommending next steps. Use AI tools to support your workflow—drafting, researching, and testing ideas, while handling the creative and client-facing work yourself.

Skills/background needed

Professional experience running social media accounts (agency, in-house, or freelance). Hands-on experience building and managing paid social campaigns with real budget accountability. Proficiency with a DSLR or mirrorless camera and iPhone—knowing when to use each. Strong understanding of exposure, lighting, composition, and audio recording (microphones, recorders). Ability to shoot a full day independently and return with usable content. Experience editing both video and photography. Familiarity with design and productivity tools including Canva, Photoshop, Lightroom, and a UI design tool. Working knowledge of Meta Business Suite, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other social platforms. Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining organized systems. Comfort communicating with clients and being direct about what will and won’t work. Valid driver’s license (travel to client sites required). Experience with AI tools in real work scenarios is a plus.

What this role is not

This is not a remote or hybrid position. Work takes place on client sites and in the office. This is not a strategy-only role or a community-management seat—you’ll be hands-on with camera equipment and post-production work. This is not an entry-level content role, and you’ll be expected to work independently without relying on a team for day-to-day support.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length: Full Time, Permanent

Benefits: Health insurance, paid time off, vision insurance, retirement plan contributions, and equipment provided.

Location: On-site position available. Local applicants preferred.
