Schedule: Part-time, 3 days a week plus two Saturdays per month
About the Role:
You’ll be the backbone of our service department operations. In this hands-on role, you’ll manage work orders from creation through completion and invoicing, coordinate between technicians and customers, and help keep our service team running smoothly. You’ll schedule jobs, review work accuracy, handle warranty documentation, and support team members in growing their skills. This is an ideal entry point if you’re eager to learn service department operations and grow into a leadership position.
Your Day-to-Day:
• Manage the full work order cycle—from creation through invoicing for both customer and internal work
• Coordinate work assignments, matching jobs to team members based on their skills
• Review work orders for completeness and accuracy before customer billing
• Track warranty and service improvement programs, ensuring timely submission
• Keep all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles in working order
• Support and coach team members, helping them develop their capabilities
• Work closely with management to identify ways to improve processes and efficiency
• Maintain clear communication with customers, team members, and leadership
• Contribute to a positive workplace culture and strong community reputation
Skills/Background Needed:
• 1–2 years of experience working in a service department (or similar operations environment)
• Comfort with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
• Basic understanding of financial principles and how service operations affect profitability
• Willingness to work weekends as scheduled
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Flexibility and a collaborative team mindset
