We’re looking for a technical writer to create clear, accurate operation and maintenance manuals for equipment. You’ll transform engineering data and specifications into documentation that supports safe operation, efficient installation, and effective service.
Responsibilities:
• Create, edit, and publish equipment manuals including operation, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and parts documentation
• Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and technical specifications to produce accurate content
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and service teams to understand requirements and capture details
• Use templates and style guides to standardize content while accommodating specific variations
• Produce illustrations and schematics from reference materials; annotate for clarity and safety
• Incorporate safety, regulatory, and compliance content relevant to the product and destination
• Manage document versions throughout the product lifecycle
• Maintain source content in structured formats to enable reuse and quick turnaround
• Deliver manuals in requested formats (PDF, web, interactive) as needed
Skills/background needed:
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with writing and editing software such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs
• Experience with graphics tools such as Canva or similar design software
• Familiarity with safety standards and compliance concepts
• Strong writing, editing, and organisational skills
• Ability to tailor content for different audiences (operators, installers, service technicians)
• Comfortable collaborating with technical teams
