Technical Writer – Entry Level, Full Time

We’re hiring a Technical Writer to join our team. In this role, you’ll create clear, user-friendly procedures and training guides that help people understand complex processes. You’ll work with internal resources and existing documentation to produce accurate materials for a variety of audiences.

You’ll learn our processes and work collaboratively with teams across different departments, including safety, engineering, quality, and maintenance. This is a full-time position based on-site at our facility, working Monday through Friday with occasional off-shift responsibilities.

What you’ll do:

• Observe processes, take notes and photos, and gather information from Subject Matter Experts
• Analyze information to create high-quality documentation
• Follow current document standards consistently
• Work with other writers to improve documentation standards
• Collect customer feedback to enhance content and usability
• Edit and review documents for accuracy and consistency
• Adjust priorities and deadlines with supervisor guidance to meet team goals
• Problem-solve documentation issues using established practices
• Audit document distribution and note any discrepancies
• Contribute to a safe workplace culture

Skills/background needed:

• Associate’s degree and 1 year of writing experience, OR high school diploma and 3 years of writing experience
• Clear, concise, and accurate writing
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams
• Quick learner who can understand complex subject matter
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to break down complex concepts and organize information logically
• Time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to use resources and reference materials to find answers

Preferred experience:

• Background in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
• Experience writing procedural documents
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
