About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented copy editor and proofreader with a keen eye for typos, factual errors, and inconsistencies. If you love correcting grammar, improving clarity and tone, and have a strong command of writing standards, this role is an ideal place to develop your skills.
You will review and polish a wide range of content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand voice and style guidelines. You’ll work across multiple content types—campaign materials, brochures, webpages, social media posts, emails, scripts, press releases, and more—moving quickly between formats while maintaining quality standards.
What you’ll do
Proofread with precision: Review content across all channels (web, social, print, email, ads, video scripts, PR, and more) to ensure accuracy, correct spelling and grammar, maintain consistency, align with brand voice, and deliver error-free work. You’ll serve as the final quality checkpoint before content goes live.
Protect brand standards: Ensure every message reflects brand standards and tone of voice. Maintain consistency in style, formatting, readability, and adherence to established guidelines.
Edit for clarity: Beyond finding typos and inconsistencies, read and understand content to ensure copy is clear and accurately conveys the intended message.
Collaborate effectively: Work closely with writers, designers, project managers, and clients to understand requirements, ask clarifying questions, and ensure the final product reflects accurate messaging, tone, and brand voice while meeting deadlines.
Skills/background needed: Exceptional command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation; strong research and fact-checking abilities; excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects and deadlines; clear communication and collaborative approach; familiarity with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and similar editing tools; portfolio or samples demonstrating proofreading accuracy.
No prior professional experience is required. Full training and support will be provided. We welcome applications from people eager to build a career in editing and proofreading.
