About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented writer to help create clear, accurate technical documents. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to develop your writing and editing skills while working with a supportive team.
What You’ll Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Interview technical and production staff to understand processes and gather information
• Read relevant materials and research to familiarize yourself with technologies and methods
• Observe production and experimental activities to understand how things work
• Help organize and format material for publication
• Review developments in your field and identify whether existing documents need updates or new materials should be created
• Take raw technical data and reports, then format and organize them into clear, professional documents
• Create a variety of documents including reports, white papers, presentations, and business documents
• Communicate edits and changes to technical staff and managers
• Collaborate with other writers and editors to maintain document quality and consistency
Skills/background needed
• A degree or diploma in Business Writing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
• Some experience working with technical documents is helpful but not required
• Strong writing and proofreading skills
• Ability to take complex information and make it clear and accessible
• Organized and detail-oriented approach
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Self-motivated and curious about learning new topics
• Flexible and collaborative mindset
