Summary: You’ll create and update documentation that explains technical information clearly and concisely. You’ll work with team members across different departments to ensure all information is accurate and easy to understand.
What You’ll Do:
- Observe and document current procedures and operations
- Take photos and gather visual information to support documentation
- Collect technical drawings and reference materials that help explain procedures
- Work with team members at all levels to gather and verify information
- Write, organize, and edit procedures, instructions, and manuals in both digital and printed formats
- Review documents to maintain consistent style and clarity
- Prepare final drafts for management review and approval
- Handle additional tasks as needed
Skills/background needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to use a digital camera and basic photo editing software
- Strong writing skills in both explanatory and procedural styles
- Ability to write for different audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels
- Experience in manufacturing or operations is helpful but not required
- Experience with content management systems is a plus
Contract length: Part Time
