Job Summary
As a Grant Writer, you’ll research, prepare, and submit grant proposals that support organisational goals. This is a full-time position offering complete training for entry-level candidates with a passion for writing and helping organisations secure funding.
What You’ll Do
• Identify and research new grant opportunities that align with organisational priorities
• Work collaboratively with team members to develop and submit grant proposals
• Manage grants throughout their lifecycle, from initial application through completion
• Write clear, compelling grant proposals with supporting documentation
• Track grant progress, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with funder requirements
• Conduct research to identify potential funding sources
• Build and maintain a library of funding opportunities in different areas
• Perform related duties as assigned
Skills/background needed
• Strong writing ability and attention to detail
• Ability to research and analyse information
• Comfort using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with others
• No prior grant writing experience necessary – full training will be provided
Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university preferred but not required for entry-level applicants
• Willingness to learn and grow in a supportive environment
• Ability to pass a background check

Working Environment
This is an on-site role. You’ll work in an office environment, primarily at a desk. The role involves sitting for extended periods, with occasional standing, walking, and light physical tasks. You may be required to work beyond standard business hours on occasion.
