Position Overview

We are looking for a Grant Writer to help identify, develop, and manage grant opportunities that support community projects and initiatives. In this role, you will research available funding sources, prepare compelling grant applications, and manage ongoing grant compliance and reporting.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Researching local, state, federal, and private funding sources to identify opportunities aligned with organisational goals. Writing, reviewing, and editing grant proposals for a variety of funding sources. Serving as a point of contact for departments and stakeholders seeking guidance on grant applications. Managing awarded grants, including evaluation, detailed reporting, and financial oversight. Analysing and compiling technical and statistical information to strengthen proposal documents.

Skills/background needed:

While experience is valued, this role welcomes applicants with a strong foundation in writing and a genuine interest in grant funding. Full training will be provided.

Essential skills include:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong research and independent work abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Collaborative approach to working with teams. Attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines and regulations. Willingness to learn about grant administration and compliance requirements.

A valid driver’s license is required.
