We’re looking for a dynamic, engaging Multimedia Journalist and News Anchor who thrives in a fast-paced newsroom environment. This role combines on-air anchor work with multimedia reporting and content creation across digital and social platforms.
Roles: You’ll co-anchor assigned newscasts with clear, confident presentation; report and produce multimedia news stories; conduct live interviews and breaking news coverage; shoot, write, and edit daily stories for broadcast and digital audiences; develop story ideas relevant to your audience; build and maintain sources for exclusive content; post stories and updates across digital platforms; write and edit scripts, teases, and headlines; and help produce segments as needed. You’ll also represent the newsroom at community events and initiatives.
What makes a great fit: You’re a confident storyteller who can shift seamlessly between on-air presentation and behind-the-scenes production. You’re comfortable working across multiple platforms—broadcast, web, and social media—and understand how to tell stories in different formats. You’re organised, reliable, and excited about breaking news. Strong writing skills, solid time management, and the ability to collaborate with producers and colleagues are essential.
Skills/background needed: A degree in journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred. We welcome entry-level candidates with strong internship experience or 1-3 years of television news experience. You should have strong on-air presence, live reporting skills, and the ability to shoot and edit video. Excellent writing skills for both broadcast and digital platforms are required. Active social media presence, experience in small to mid-sized newsrooms, and bilingual abilities are a bonus but not required. Full training will be provided.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Permanent position.
Location: Open to applicants worldwide.
