About The Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Technical Editor to join our team. You’ll review, edit, and improve technical documents to ensure they meet high standards of clarity, accuracy, and compliance. Working collaboratively with authors and subject matter experts, you’ll help maintain consistent style, terminology, and formatting across all written products.
This is a hands-on role perfect for someone starting their career in editing and quality assurance. You’ll develop real skills in document review, editing, and quality control while working in a supportive environment.
What You’ll Do
• Conduct quality reviews of technical documents and flag issues
• Check documents for compliance with organizational standards
• Correct grammatical errors and typographical issues
• Ensure documents follow templates and formatting guidelines
• Fix common formatting issues involving styles, headers, tables of contents, and cross-referencing
• Prepare documentation for final signatures and publication
• Maintain a repository of acronyms and terminology
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to document authors
• Track document versions and changes
• Assist with document routing and consolidation of reviewer comments
• Learn and develop proficiency with editing tools and techniques
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, English, or a related field
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Helpful but not required:
• Any prior experience editing technical or program documents
• Familiarity with AP Style or other writing standards
• Experience with Adobe software
• Experience with document management systems or SharePoint
