Junior Technical Writer – Policy & Procedure Documentation, Remote

Overview:

This is an entry-level remote position where you’ll develop, update, and maintain policies, procedures, and training materials. You’ll work with clear guidance and support from experienced team members. The role involves translating complex processes into straightforward, user-friendly documentation that helps teams across the organization stay aligned and compliant.

What you’ll do:

Policy & Procedure Development:
Create, update, and maintain policies and procedures with input from department managers and subject matter experts. Work with stakeholders to ensure documentation accurately reflects requirements and aligns with organizational standards. Participate in regular reviews to keep materials current and accurate.

Documentation & Process Updates:
Learn to evaluate operational and regulatory changes to identify their impact on existing policies. Collaborate with business leaders and compliance teams to ensure timely, accurate updates to documentation.

Training Material Development:
Develop training guides, job aids, and reference materials to support the rollout of new processes. Work with training teams to ensure clear, consistent knowledge transfer across the organization.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with operations, compliance, and training teams to ensure documentation reflects current business practices. Provide support for audits and quality assurance efforts.

What you need to succeed:

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent (or willingness to pursue further education). Strong writing skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and logically. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Excellent communication skills and comfort working with people across different departments. Ability to learn quickly and follow guidance from experienced colleagues. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Nice to have:
Any experience with document management systems, training development tools, or process improvement. Familiarity with Microsoft Visio or similar diagramming software.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
