About the Role:
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our team and help translate complex technical information into clear, well-organized documentation. In this on-site role, you’ll work with subject matter experts and programme managers to create procurement documents, technical specifications, and procedural guides that meet regulatory standards and industry best practices.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to develop your technical writing skills in a professional, supportive environment. You’ll receive full training on the specific document types and systems used in this field.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Draft, edit, and format technical documentation including statements of work, performance specifications, and procedural guides
• Work with technical experts to translate complex jargon into clear, measurable, and actionable language suitable for a wide audience
• Review and refine documents to ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations
• Manage complex document structures and multi-level formatting to ensure information is logically organized and easy to follow
• Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to gather technical information and understand project requirements
Skills/Background Needed:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to convert unclear or passive writing into clear, direct, active language
• Ability to work with complex information and organize it logically
• Willingness to learn regulatory frameworks and document standards specific to this field
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistency across documentation
Desired:
• Master’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field
• Prior experience writing technical or procedural documentation
• Familiarity with defence or government contracting environments
• Professional certifications in technical writing or programme management
