Grant Writer – Entry Level

Role Overview:

We’re looking for an entry-level Grant Writer to help research, identify, and prepare grant applications. You’ll work independently to develop grant proposals, manage documentation, and support the grant application process from start to finish. No prior grant experience is required—we provide full training and guidance.

What You’ll Do:

Your main responsibilities will include:

Research and identify grant opportunities that align with organizational priorities

Review and interpret grant guidelines, regulations, and funding opportunity notices

Prepare grant proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation

Develop timelines to ensure grant applications are submitted on schedule

Submit completed grant proposals to funding agencies

Maintain organized grant tracking and management records

Prepare reports, memos, letters, and written correspondence

Collaborate with team members and departments to coordinate grant-funded projects

Participate in meetings and workshops to stay current with grant regulations and best practices

Skills/background needed:

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to write clear, structured, and persuasive proposals

Strong editing and proofreading abilities

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively

Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

Willingness to learn grant processes and funding sources

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Business, Public Administration, or a related field

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length: Full-time, ongoing

Location: Local positions available.

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required based on business needs)
