Roles: Service Advisor/Writer
About the role:
You’ll work in the service department helping customers understand their vehicle service needs. Your day-to-day tasks include greeting customers, managing appointments, inspecting vehicles, documenting concerns, explaining repairs in simple terms, providing cost estimates, and delivering friendly customer service. This is a full-time, on-site position based at the workplace during business hours (7:30am–7:00pm, closed Sundays).
What you’ll do:
Greet customers and gather vehicle information; accurately record customer concerns; explain services and repairs in clear, easy-to-understand language; calculate repair costs and provide accurate estimates with turnaround times; manage and schedule service appointments; ensure vehicles are serviced promptly; follow up with customers on progress; maintain service records; assist with vehicle loading and unloading; recommend additional services; resolve customer concerns professionally; keep your work area organised, clean, and safe; participate in required training; record hours accurately; follow all safety rules and company policies.
What you’ll need:
A valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent. No prior automotive experience is required – full training will be provided. You should be comfortable explaining technical issues in simple terms, have good communication and problem-solving skills, and be able to work in a busy environment. Basic computer skills are helpful.
