We’re looking for a detail-oriented Technical Writer and Editor to join our growing team. You’ll play a key role in creating clear, accurate technical documentation that helps users understand complex systems and procedures.
About the Role:
As a Technical Writer and Editor, you’ll be responsible for writing, rewriting, and editing technical documents such as procedure manuals, user manuals, operational specifications, and other technical publications. Your goal will be to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences.
Key responsibilities include:
• Writing and editing technical documentation including manuals, specifications, and procedural guides
• Gathering subject knowledge by interviewing product developers and reviewing technical specifications and engineering materials
• Collaborating on the selection and preparation of illustrative materials such as diagrams, charts, and sketches
• Conducting quality reviews of technical documents to ensure accuracy and clarity
• Working with technical authoring software and content management systems
Skills/background needed:
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
• Ability to understand and communicate technical information clearly
• Experience with or willingness to learn technical authoring software
• Comfortable interviewing subject matter experts and gathering technical information
• Ability to work with illustrations, diagrams, and technical specifications
• Organized, detail-oriented approach to quality assurance
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
