About this role:
We’re looking for an entry-level technical writer to join our team and help create clear, accurate documentation for cybersecurity systems and processes. This is a fully remote position perfect for someone who enjoys translating complex technical information into accessible written guidance.
What you’ll do:
You’ll develop and maintain technical documentation including security plans, compliance statements, and supporting materials. You’ll create and update system diagrams, network architecture diagrams, and data flow diagrams that accurately represent how systems work. You’ll interpret and document security control standards, ensuring implementation statements are complete and technically accurate. You’ll work closely with engineers, developers, and system administrators to gather the technical details needed for clear documentation. You’ll help translate complex technical information into documentation that assessors, auditors, and other stakeholders can easily understand.

Skills/background needed:
High school diploma or equivalent. We provide full training in cybersecurity documentation practices. You should have a strong interest in learning about IT systems, security processes, and compliance frameworks. Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required: IT infrastructure, network systems, security audits, compliance workflows, or NIST security standards. Comfort working with diagrams, flowcharts, and technical documentation tools is valuable. The ability to communicate clearly and ask clarifying questions is essential. You’ll need to be detail-oriented and able to work independently in a remote setting.
