About The Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented technical writer to support complex system environments. In this fully remote role, you’ll develop and maintain technical documentation, create clear guides for both technical and non-technical audiences, and ensure accuracy across all documentation.
This is an entry-level position with full training provided. You’ll work with modern documentation tools and collaborative platforms to deliver high-quality technical content.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation Creation & Management
Generate technical documentation using approved industry-standard tools and applications. Review, edit, and validate documentation for technical accuracy, clarity, and consistency before publication. Consolidate documentation from multiple sources into a single authoritative baseline.
Security & Compliance Documentation
Create and maintain security-related documentation in accordance with compliance requirements and program standards. Ensure documentation accurately reflects system configurations and operational procedures.
Technical Content Development
Develop user guides, standard operating procedures, process documentation, and knowledge base articles. Design system diagrams, workflows, and visual aids using diagramming tools. Produce professional deliverables using standard office applications.
Collaboration & Knowledge Management
Use project tracking tools to manage documentation tasks and coordinate across teams. Organize and maintain team knowledge in collaborative platforms, ensuring documentation is easy to find and use long-term.
Skills/background needed: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio. Experience with project tracking tools and collaborative documentation platforms. Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate complex information clearly. Knowledge of security compliance frameworks is a plus. No prior professional experience required—we provide full training.
Location: Fully remote, work from anywhere.
Contract length: Permanent, full-time position.
