About this role:
We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented social media and content assistant to help amplify our community’s stories and celebrate student experiences. You’ll work with our team to create engaging digital content, manage our social platforms, and support outreach efforts that connect and inspire our audience.
No prior experience required – we provide full training and support to help you succeed.
What you’ll do:
• Create engaging digital content including graphics, captions, photos, videos, and social media posts using tools like Canva
• Promote programmes, events, and workshops through social media, email communications, and newsletters
• Manage and update digital platforms, ensuring content is timely and accurate, and respond to messages and comments
• Attend key programmes and events (where applicable) to capture photos and videos, and organize digital media files
• Collaborate with team members and partners to identify storytelling opportunities and develop creative outreach strategies
• Support office operations by responding to communications, completing administrative tasks, and maintaining organized files
• Attend required meetings and training sessions
Skills/background needed:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professionalism, reliability, and excellent time management
• Experience or interest in content creation – using Canva, taking photos and videos, and developing social media content
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stay organized
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable using tools like email platforms and social media; experience with website editing is a bonus
• Own a smartphone with reliable photo and video capability
