Account Manager – Part Time Remote

Thanks for your interest. This role is designed differently from most account management positions, so here’s what makes it unique.

We’re a performance marketing agency working with service-based businesses. What we do is connect marketing spend to actual revenue, displayed on a live dashboard our clients can check any day. This shapes everything about how this job works—we don’t create monthly reports or slide decks. That time goes into real client relationships instead.

How this role works

You own the client relationship. You’re their main contact—email, team chat, and scheduled calls throughout the month. Once a month, you walk clients through their live dashboard and explain what their numbers mean for their business. Not data readout; the story behind it.

When a client sends a long or unclear message, you translate it into a clean brief for our production team. This translation is the core of the work.

You’ll also spot problems early, before clients have to raise them.

Tools you’ll use

We use AI tools integrated into Gmail and team chat to handle routine replies and message translation—work that would take twenty minutes takes three. You’ll work within Google Workspace, team chat, a project tracking tool, and a CRM system. Full setup and training provided in your first week. We also record client calls so you can stay present in conversations instead of typing through them, and so nothing gets dropped. Clients know we do this from the start.

What you won’t be doing

No campaign building, bid management, or code work. No monthly reports or slide decks. No web development or design production. Our production team owns all technical work. You also won’t need to commute—this is fully remote work from home.

What we’re looking for

You have experience managing client relationships inside an agency—ideally at least three years as the person clients actually call. Beyond that, four key skills:

You can read marketing data from major platforms and explain it clearly in language clients understand. You don’t need to build campaigns or manage tracking—you need to look at data and say what it means.

You’re comfortable working in Google Workspace, team chat, and project tracking tools. This is our full internal stack.

You have a track record of keeping clients and spotting problems early, before they escalate.

You can discuss metrics that have moved the wrong way, explain why, and say what happens next. This is harder than it sounds and it’s what keeps accounts.

Nice to have (not required)

If you’ve worked with service-based businesses like HVAC, plumbing, roofing, or security companies, you’ll recognize the language and rhythm. Same if you know their common business software. Experience using AI tools daily in your own work, or curiosity about how businesses appear in AI recommendations, is a plus—it’s a growing part of what we do.

How the contract works

This starts part-time and is built to grow. You’ll be an independent contractor. You’re paid per client relationship on a published scale—not for hours. You’ll start with six accounts, roughly fifteen hours a week by our estimate. For your first ninety days, we’ll track time by account so we both learn the real load. If it runs heavier, we adjust. If it runs lighter because you’re fast, you keep the difference and we add accounts.

The benefit of this structure: if you get efficient with the tools and hold twelve relationships in the time it used to take you to hold eight, you earn more for the same week. That stays yours. After the first ninety days, no timesheets.

For time off, there’s no clock. When you’re away, your accounts are covered. This is why we ask you to keep client files current rather than keeping things in your head.

Where this could go

As the team grows, whoever joins early becomes the natural leader for that group. There’s also unclaimed responsibility in education accounts and quality control across the portfolio. If either interests you, mention it.
