We are a digital news organisation specialising in aviation and aerospace content. We produce online articles, video reports, and multimedia features for an engaged audience of aviation professionals and enthusiasts worldwide. We’re looking for a writer to join our small team on a flexible, part-time contract basis—with potential to transition to full-time as the role develops.
This is a fully remote position. You’ll work from home and manage your own schedule, so long as you can deliver quality work reliably and meet agreed deadlines.
What you’ll do:
You’ll write news articles and features on aviation and aerospace topics for our website and social media channels. You’ll work alongside our small editorial team to research stories, fact-check information, and publish engaging content that appeals to both industry professionals and aviation enthusiasts.
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Writing clear, compelling news articles and feature pieces
- Researching and sourcing aviation industry stories
- Formatting content for web publication using basic HTML
- Editing photos and graphics for online use
- Sharing stories across social media channels
- Meeting editorial deadlines consistently
- Occasionally working extended hours when breaking news requires it
What we’re looking for:
You don’t need years of experience—we welcome enthusiastic beginners willing to learn. You should have:
- Strong interest in aviation and aerospace topics
- Ability to write clearly and engage readers
- Familiarity with social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Basic comfort with web tools and online publishing
- Willingness to learn HTML basics and photo editing
- Reliable, high-speed internet connection
- A computer capable of running standard writing and graphics software
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Flexibility and dedication—news doesn’t follow a 9-to-5 schedule
If you have experience writing for radio, television, or online news outlets, we’d especially love to hear from you. A pilot’s license or personal aviation background is helpful but not required.
