This is a fully remote position open to applicants worldwide.
We’re looking for a Chat Support Agent to deliver compassionate, supportive service to members through live chat and digital channels. This role is about building genuine connections, understanding member needs, and resolving issues completely and correctly the first time. You’ll work with diverse members, including older adults and individuals with disabilities, in a healthcare environment.

What You’ll Do
• Connect with members by leading with empathy, patience, and respect, ensuring they feel heard and supported throughout every interaction
• Take ownership of each chat conversation, resolving inquiries during the initial contact and following through when additional steps are needed
• Provide clear, accurate responses to member questions about benefits, eligibility, services, policies, and procedures in language that’s easy to understand
• Assist members with provider network questions, claims inquiries, and benefit questions related to support services
• Respond to incoming chats within established service levels while managing complex and sensitive situations with professionalism
• Document all member interactions accurately and in real time to ensure clear follow-through and effective resolution
• Address member concerns and complaints by listening for root causes, offering solutions, and escalating when needed
• Participate in outreach initiatives designed to improve member engagement and education
• Engage in ongoing coaching and learning to continuously strengthen your service skills
What You’ll Need
Skills/background needed:
• High school diploma or GED (required); college coursework or degree preferred but not required
• Comfortable using multiple systems simultaneously, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and team chat tools
• Clear, warm verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information simply
• Demonstrated empathy and patience, especially when working with older adults and individuals with disabilities
• Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage high chat volumes, and handle emotionally sensitive conversations
• Flexibility to work various shifts to meet business needs
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free workspace
• Comfort with confidentiality and data protection requirements
Prior customer service experience is valued but not required. We provide comprehensive training to help you succeed.
Bonus skills (not required):
• Bilingual language abilities
• Knowledge of healthcare plans or insurance
