About the Role
In this position, you will:
- Receive and record calls for service, including emergency calls received by telephone, in person, and by radio transmission
- Dispatch emergency services in response to calls
- Provide advice and assistance to the public during crisis situations
- Monitor the progress of emergency responses and update the status and availability of personnel
- Enter and retrieve data; prepare and maintain records
- Answer administrative calls during non-business hours
- Monitor security systems and respond to alarms as needed
- Contact personnel for emergencies as required

Skills/Background Needed
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to obtain required certifications within six months of employment (training provided)
Essential Skills:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and use phones/headsets
- Clear communication skills in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and oral instructions
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Reliable and punctual
