Communications & Social Media Manager – Entry Level

About this role:

This is an entry-level position managing social media channels and digital communications. You’ll work from our office environment, creating content, managing our social media strategy, and helping coordinate communications campaigns. Full training is provided—no prior experience needed.

What you’ll do:

• Create, manage, and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms

• Help develop and execute the organization’s social media strategy

• Write and proofread communications materials including newsletters, press releases, and social media posts

• Monitor and update content on social media accounts, following best practices for each platform

• Collaborate with team members across departments to gather information and coordinate content delivery

• Maintain records and filing systems for communications

• Support event coordination and community engagement projects

• Respond to requests from the public for information

• Assist with media relations and communications as needed

Skills & background needed:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong written and spoken communication skills

• Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Attention to detail and proofreading ability

• Willingness to learn new tools and platforms

• Reliable and punctual

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital media, or related field

• Experience with social media management or content creation

• Bilingual abilities

Contract length: Full time, 220 working days per year

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application

Location: On-site, local position

You’ll primarily work in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels. The role involves sitting at a computer for extended periods, with frequent use of keyboards and phones.
