About This Role
We’re looking for an entry-level Communications Writer to join our team. In this role, you’ll create compelling written content that helps communicate our mission and connect with the public. You’ll write press releases, manage social media, update web content, and support internal communications efforts. This is a fully remote position ideal for someone starting their career in communications or public relations.
What You’ll Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Write clear, engaging press releases and media communications for diverse audiences
• Create and update content across social media platforms
• Develop newsletters, brochures, and other written materials
• Maintain and update website and intranet content
• Help coordinate public events and speaking engagements
• Assist with crisis communication planning
• Respond to media inquiries and provide public information
• Edit and proofread communications for clarity and tone
• Work with video and still images using standard editing software
• Stay current with trends in communications and media
Skills/Background Needed
No prior experience is required. We provide full training. You should have:
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn)
• Basic computer skills including word processing and Google Docs
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Willingness to learn new tools and software
• A keen interest in communications, writing, or public relations
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
