About the role:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Content Writer to help tell the stories of animals in our care and connect them with people who want to adopt. You’ll create engaging social media posts, promotional content for adoption events, fundraising campaigns, and community outreach—all designed to showcase our mission and increase community engagement.
This is a full-time, fully remote position where you’ll work from home developing content across multiple platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and others. You’ll also photograph and film animals at events, write informative articles, and collaborate with the team to coordinate outreach initiatives.
What you’ll do:
• Create original promotional and social media content for adoption events, fundraising campaigns, and community initiatives
• Photograph and film animals and events to capture compelling visual stories
• Write informative posts, articles, and captions that engage your audience and promote our mission
• Develop and execute social media strategies across multiple platforms to increase reach and engagement
• Work with team members to plan and promote community events and outreach activities
Skills/background needed:
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) and engagement strategies
• Comfortable with basic graphic design and creative content creation
• Experience with WordPress content management (basic editing level)
• Some experience handling animals is preferred but not required
• Marketing or promotional writing experience is a plus, but we welcome enthusiastic beginners
• Full training will be provided on tools and processes specific to this role
