We are hiring a Content Writer to shape how our brand shows up in the world. You will own the strategic narrative, editorial voice, and content across every format that matters: long-form articles, social media, ad copy, and sales materials.
This is a fully remote, individual contributor role with full creative ownership and a real budget for tools and external resources. You’ll work with a talented team of engineers, designers, and sales professionals, all operating flexibly across time zones.
What you’ll own:
Brand tone and editorial voiceDefine what our brand sounds like—distinct, casual, and direct. You’ll build the voice guide, tone guidelines, and stylistic conventions that scale across every channel. You’ll set the editorial bar: deciding what we publish, what we don’t, and what we refine before it ships.
Strategic narrativeDevelop the core story about why our solutions matter, what we’ve built, and what becomes possible for our customers. Partner with leadership to evolve this narrative as the market changes, and translate it into essays, presentations, talks, and ads. Run a feedback loop with the sales team so the story you write is the story they pitch.
Social and organic presenceOwn our LinkedIn and social presence. Set the editorial calendar, write posts, and build a cadence that earns attention. Ghost-write for founders and team members to activate them as part of our social presence. Engage with industry thought leaders and guest opportunities. Treat social as a system with content pillars, distribution loops, and measurement—not random posts, but a real editorial calendar that compounds.
Long-form and short-form contentWrite comfortably across formats: detailed articles and market analyses on one end, social posts and ad copy on the other. Create hook-based content that earns attention from the first line. Run your editorial calendar so long-form pieces feed short-form derivatives, and social signals inform what you invest in long-form.
Video and multimediaBrief and direct short-form video, explainer content, and visual assets—working with external editors, designers, and production partners. Turn your biggest narrative ideas into multi-format moments: an essay becomes a video, a video becomes a week of social content.
Sales-aligned contentApproach content with a sales mindset: every major piece should ladder to pipeline or closed deals. Build sales enablement assets like case narratives, competitive analyses, and objection-handling content. Own funnel content—landing pages, campaign emails, lifecycle nurture, and ad copy—that powers demand generation. Run a tight loop with sales on what’s actually moving deals.
Data-driven contentMine platform data and insights to produce content no one else can: market analyses, adoption trends, and real intelligence about what’s happening in your industry right now. You don’t need to be a data scientist, but you know how to pull an insight from data, find the story in it, and write it compellingly.
Search and AI visibilityOwn how we get found, both through traditional search and through AI answer engines where buyers increasingly start their research. Build practices and partnerships that compound this visibility over time.
Measurement and iterationTrack what works and what doesn’t across pieces and channels. Understand which content drives pipeline, which drives brand awareness, and which drives nothing. Adjust accordingly. Run a tight feedback loop with sales and customer success on what’s actually moving deals and renewals.
Skills/background needed:
7+ years of B2B content experience, ideally in sales, data, or marketing technology. You know the buyers and what they actually read. You can write both long-form and short-form content and know they’re different crafts. You’ve defined a brand voice before and have taken a professional brand from generic to memorable with real personality. You have a sales-oriented mindset and have worked closely with sales teams to build content that actually moves deals.
You’re genuinely excited about finding stories in data and are comfortable working with raw data as source material. You’ve led content projects independently, prioritize ruthlessly, and make editorial decisions without waiting for approval. You have real examples of shipped work where you used AI tools to work faster, better, or differently—not just experimentation, but production workflows. You’re comfortable working with freelancers and external specialists (writers, designers, video producers, agencies) and have managed external resources before.
You can write in a founder’s voice convincingly and make their LinkedIn posts sound like them, not you. You’re fluent in standard content tools (content management systems, SEO tools, analytics platforms) and comfortable learning new tools as needed.
