Role: Content Writer – Communications and Outreach
Scope: You will support communications functions by creating content and materials that help reach audiences through various channels. You’ll work on messaging, campaigns, and outreach activities across different platforms and formats.
What you’ll do:
• Develop and create communications materials including talking points, written remarks, and messaging for various audiences
• Collaborate with team members to plan and implement communications campaigns and outreach initiatives
• Create relevant content for different platforms and target audiences, including written pieces, website copy, and social media materials
• Review and edit communications materials to ensure clarity and quality
• Help develop and maintain an editorial calendar for content planning
• Monitor and respond to community feedback to support outreach efforts
• Create and track outreach campaigns; report on how well they’re performing
• Assist with media relations and community event coordination
• Support the development of communications strategies and plans
• Help coordinate participation in community events and public forums
Skills/background needed:
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Ability to create clear, engaging content for different audiences
• Basic experience with communications, marketing, or related field (or willingness to learn)
• Familiarity with Google Docs, Google Drive, and other standard office tools
• Organised and able to manage multiple projects
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail
• No prior professional experience required – we provide full training
Contract length: Full-time
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
