Position Overview:
We’re looking for an Entry Level Content Writer & Digital Communications Coordinator to develop and execute digital communications across our website, social media, and email platforms. This role combines writing, design, storytelling, and creativity to create digital experiences that engage audiences. You’ll play a hands-on role in managing our digital presence—from identifying website needs and developing page layouts, to writing content, creating social media posts, and planning email communications. The ideal candidate is creative and technically capable: someone who can write compelling copy, has a strong visual eye, understands how people interact with digital content, and is comfortable learning new digital platforms. This is a self-starter role perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving and independent thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
Website Content & Experience
• Manage and maintain day-to-day website content and functionality
• Identify outdated, missing, or unclear website content and recommend improvements
• Determine when new pages or sections are needed
• Develop page structures, basic wireframes, and navigation
• Write, edit, and publish website content using our content management system
• Ensure website content is accurate, current, and visually appealing
• Monitor website analytics and use data to improve user experience
• Coordinate with technical partners when advanced development is needed
Social Media
• Execute social media strategy across relevant platforms
• Identify stories, accomplishments, and moments worth highlighting
• Write social media copy and develop creative concepts
• Create, curate, and coordinate photography, video, and graphics
• Schedule and publish social media content
• Monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages
• Track social media performance and improve content based on analytics
Email Communications
• Plan and execute newsletters and email communications
• Work with leadership to maintain email communications calendars
• Monitor email performance and use analytics to improve communications
Digital Communications & Brand
• Support digital communications aligned with organisational priorities
• Ensure website, social media, and email function as a cohesive digital presence
• Identify opportunities to extend strong content across multiple platforms
• Stay current with digital communication trends and best practices
• Use analytics and audience insights to evaluate effectiveness
Skills/background needed: Excellent writing and editing skills; strong visual and aesthetic judgment; experience managing social media content; experience with email communications; understanding of basic website structure and user experience principles; ability to develop basic wireframes and page layouts; proficiency with design tools like Canva; strong attention to detail; ability to learn new technology quickly; strong organisational and project-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently. No prior professional experience required—we provide full training on all platforms and tools.
