Overview:
Are you passionate about storytelling and creating content that reaches a wide audience? We’re looking for an Entry Level Content Writer & Editor to join our communications team. You’ll help produce engaging publications and digital content that celebrate people, ideas, and impact. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from home and on-site.
What You’ll Do:
Content Creation & Editing
• Collaborate with team members to produce compelling stories across print and digital formats
• Work with writers, designers, and photographers to bring stories to life
• Edit and refine content for clarity, tone, and audience appeal
• Develop content ideas and manage projects from concept through completion
• Write original content for publications and digital channels
Digital & Multimedia Work
• Manage and grow content across digital platforms
• Create and coordinate social media content
• Apply content strategy principles to maximize readership online
• Work with video and multimedia storytellers to develop engaging content
• Coordinate content distribution across multiple channels
Production & Coordination
• Hire and work with freelance writers and photographers
• Manage project timelines and budgets
• Coordinate with design and production teams
• Maintain organized records and documentation
• Share story ideas and performance metrics with leadership
Skills & Background Needed:
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Experience or keen interest in magazine publishing or digital content
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
• Comfort with tools like Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Zoom
• Basic experience with design software like Adobe Creative Suite or WordPress is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to work with diverse teams
• Enthusiasm for learning and growth
Nice to Have:
• Experience interviewing people for stories
• Experience managing or working with freelancers
• Familiarity with marketing principles
• Background in higher education (helpful but not required)
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, or related field preferred. However, equivalent professional writing experience is valued.

Full Time, Hybrid (on-site and work-from-home flexibility)
