About This Role
We’re looking for a talented writer to join our Communications team. In this role, you’ll craft engaging stories and content that showcase the work, discoveries, and people within our organisation. You’ll be a key member of our communications efforts, helping us share our mission and impact with audiences across multiple platforms.
What You’ll Do
• Research, write, edit, and publish compelling stories and news content for websites and digital platforms
• Identify and pitch engaging story ideas that highlight team members, achievements, research, innovation, and organisational impact
• Conduct interviews with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to develop accurate and engaging content
• Create communications materials including news articles, feature stories, social media content, email communications, and promotional materials
• Collaborate with the communications team—including designers, digital marketers, and content specialists—to develop integrated storytelling campaigns
• Support communications planning and strategy across digital platforms including websites, newsletters, and outreach initiatives
• Partner with colleagues across the organisation to elevate stories that showcase organisational impact and achievements
Skills/background needed: Strong writing and editing skills; attention to detail and accuracy; ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling language; excellent interpersonal and interviewing skills; strong organisational and project management abilities; curiosity and initiative; commitment to excellence. Experience in communications, journalism, marketing, or content development is valued but not required for entry-level candidates. Full training will be provided.
Contract length: Full Time
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Location: Fully remote – work from anywhere
