Content Writer – Nonprofit Marketing & Community Outreach, Hybrid

We’re seeking a Marketing and Outreach Coordinator to help amplify our mission through creative storytelling, community engagement, and strategic communications. You’ll work across multiple channels to raise awareness, inspire volunteers and donors, and strengthen the support system around children who need advocacy.

What You’ll Do

This is a hands-on, people-focused role with plenty of variety:

• Create engaging marketing content, social media posts, email campaigns, website copy, and community outreach materials
• Write compelling stories about volunteers and the impact of our work
• Build genuine relationships with donors, community partners, volunteers, and supporters
• Represent the organization at community events, networking opportunities, and speaking engagements
• Assist with planning and supporting fundraising events and special occasions
• Help raise awareness of key issues impacting children and families
• Develop newsletters, press releases, promotional materials, and digital content
• Manage social media accounts, email marketing campaigns, and website communications
• Support fundraising and community engagement goals through collaborative teamwork
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines

You’re energetic, detail-oriented, and happy to juggle multiple projects at once.

No prior marketing experience is required—we provide full training. What matters most is your enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and genuine commitment to the mission.

Skills/background needed: Writing and communication skills; comfort with social media, email marketing, and basic digital tools; ability to multitask and stay organized; willingness to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends for events; reliable transportation to attend in-person meetings and community activities.

Contract length: Permanent, full-time position

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Schedule: Hybrid position requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. The first 30 days include onboarding in the office 5 days per week. This role requires flexibility and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for events, fundraisers, and community activities.

Location: Hybrid, with office-based component required. Local positions available.

Tools you may use: Canva, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, email marketing platforms, social media platforms, and website content management systems. Full training provided on any tools you haven’t used before.
