Content Writer – Social Media & Digital Communications, Entry Level

About The Role

We’re looking for a talented writer to help create and manage engaging content across multiple channels. You’ll write for websites, social media, newsletters, and other digital platforms, working with a supportive team to tell compelling stories and keep audiences informed and engaged. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your writing and communications skills in a professional setting.

What You’ll Be Doing

Content Creation: Research, write, and edit news and feature stories for print and digital channels. Create website content, brochures, presentations, and reports. Edit work to ensure strong grammar, clarity, and consistent formatting across all materials.

Social Media Management: Manage and oversee social media accounts on multiple platforms. Research trends, develop strategic planning, and assess performance metrics. Respond to conversations and engage with audiences. Work with team members to develop graphics and other visual content for social media. Create and implement social media campaign plans aligned with organizational goals.

Digital Marketing: Create digital signage and advertisements. Develop and run social media ad campaigns. Support email marketing and newsletter development, including content creation and distribution.

Analytics: Produce reports analysing the performance of social media channels and campaigns. Monitor and evaluate the success of email marketing efforts. Track media coverage for organisational initiatives.

Skills/Background Needed

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or equivalent education and experience
• Two years of experience in communications and/or marketing (or willingness to learn)
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other standard office software
• Familiarity with social media platforms
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Good organisational and interpersonal skills
• Initiative and problem-solving ability
• Experience editing short videos or capturing images for social media is a plus
• Experience with content management systems is a plus
• Knowledge of social media analytics is a plus

Additional Information
