About this role:
You will be responsible for authoring, editing, and proofreading technical documentation, including operations and maintenance manuals, user guides, training materials, and program-related documents. You will work closely with engineering and technical team members to define document content, translate complex technical information into clear and usable written material, and ensure all documentation meets program standards and requirements. Responsibilities include gathering requirements from users and stakeholders, developing both user-facing and internal documentation, and serving as the primary author for assigned deliverables. You will collaborate with technical staff to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all materials while managing multiple documentation assignments in a fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do:
• Collect, organize, and analyse technical information to support the preparation, editing, and revision of documentation for complex computer systems and network environments, including user manuals, training materials, and installation guides.
• Work closely with software developers, systems engineers, test engineers, and other technical personnel to gather source data, screenshots, and supporting media for accurate technical documentation.
• Edit and refine technical descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, and other deliverables to ensure technical accuracy, clarity, consistency, and usability.
• Perform quality assurance reviews to verify that all deliverables conform to program standards and fully address feedback.
• Maintain document version control and traceability for all assigned deliverables.
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, writing, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience writing, formatting, editing, and maintaining technical documents, manuals, and publications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for developing and editing technical documentation.
• Experience gathering and translating technical information into written documentation for various audiences.
• Experience editing and reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness, clarity, consistency, grammar, and formatting.
• Ability to prepare documentation for audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge, including end users, technical staff, and management.
• Strong ability to organise, prioritise, and complete multiple assignments within established deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical personnel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Desirable experience:
• Advanced proficiency with Word and PDF document generation.
• Recent experience on software development programmes compiling and editing documentation.
• Understanding of quality management best practices and agile methodologies.
Contract length: Full Time
