Responsibilities:
– Edit and proofread content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and consistency
– Ensure adherence to style guides and maintain consistency in tone and voice
– Collaborate with writers, designers, and other team members to improve content quality
– Fact-check information to ensure accuracy and credibility
– Provide constructive feedback to writers to enhance their work
– Stay informed about industry trends and best practices
– Help develop and maintain a strong brand voice across all platforms
– Support the creation of marketing and promotional materials
Skills/background needed:
– Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
– Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies
– Familiarity with style guides such as AP Stylebook or Chicago Manual of Style (we provide resources and training)
– Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects
– Strong communication and collaboration skills
– Willingness to learn and grow in a publishing environment
– No degree required—relevant writing or editing experience is valued but not essential
