We help people and brands connect in meaningful ways through creative solutions. To do this, you’ll work with an integrated team of strategists, designers, writers, and developers to shape brand strategies for the clients you support.
A copywriter is responsible for bringing smart, original thinking to projects paired with an understanding of what makes creative work effective. You’ll process information and feedback from clients and colleagues, and articulate ideas, creative choices, and strategic direction clearly and persuasively.
You’ll report to a senior copywriter or creative director and often work alongside a designer. Success in this role depends on collaboration, communication, time management, technical knowledge, and creative thinking.
Responsibilities
As a copywriter, you will:
- Actively participate in group discussions and meetings
- Work with external resources including production companies and talent
- Volunteer for targeted needs and opportunities
- Collaborate well with colleagues across all disciplines in a positive and inclusive manner
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Manage your time to meet deadlines and responsibilities
- Help create, organize, and present effective presentations
- Guide junior copywriters when needed
- Use appropriate tools to work efficiently and effectively
- Pay close attention to detail
- Understand digital platforms and write confidently for them
- Understand video and broadcast production and write confidently for these formats
- Maintain strong working relationships with editing and proofreading colleagues
- Explore multiple solutions to problems and edit your own work
Skills/background needed
No prior experience required. While a college degree is welcomed, knowledge and hands-on experience are equally valuable. We provide full training and will support you in developing your copywriting skills.
You should be comfortable learning new tools and platforms, and eager to grow as a creative professional.
