About the role
We are looking for energetic, creative individuals to facilitate structured literacy and creative-learning programs in schools and community settings. You will guide students through storytelling, writing, discussion, and collaborative activities designed to build their confidence and communication skills.
You do not need to create the curriculum. We provide the complete program framework, lesson materials, facilitator guidance, full training, and all activities. Your role is to learn the experience and bring it to life for students in an encouraging, respectful learning environment.
What you’ll do
• Facilitate literacy and creative-learning activities with students
• Guide students through storytelling, writing, discussion, and collaborative experiences
• Create an encouraging and respectful learning environment
• Follow provided lesson plans and facilitator materials
• Help students build confidence in expressing their ideas
• Manage classroom activities, transitions, and student participation
• Communicate professionally with teachers, school staff, and programme leadership
• Participate in required training and programme preparation
Who we’re looking for
No prior experience required. We welcome applicants with backgrounds in education, teaching, tutoring, youth mentorship, creative writing, storytelling, theatre, community programmes, camps, after-school programmes, public speaking, arts education, or youth development. Teaching certification is welcomed but not required.

Bilingual ability (particularly Spanish or Haitian Creole) is a plus but not required.
Skills/background needed: No experience necessary. Full training provided. Enthusiasm for working with young people, reliability, and the ability to follow curriculum materials are essential.
What to expect
This is a flexible, assignment-based role. Programmes may operate during school hours, after-school hours, community programming, summer programming, or special events. Availability requirements will vary by assignment. Each school-based assignment carries a minimum of 2 paid hours per scheduled visit.
Full training will be provided during onboarding. Strong performers have opportunities to advance into additional responsibilities, specialty programmes, and leadership assignments.
Selected candidates may be required to satisfy applicable background-screening requirements before assignment.
