Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit customs entries and documentation in compliance with customs regulations and company procedures. Classify imported goods and determine applicable customs duties and taxes. Communicate effectively with clients, customs officials, and internal departments to resolve any issues or discrepancies. Maintain accurate records and ensure timely processing of customs entries. Stay informed about changes in customs regulations and procedures. Provide guidance and support to clients regarding customs clearance processes. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations. Maintain customer-specific databases. Communicate with port officials to comply with all entry regulations and procedures. Follow up on entry release status.
Skills/background needed:
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Strong organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email applications, and PDF tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding is helpful but not required—full training will be provided.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full-time, permanent position.
