About the Role:
As an Entry Writer, you’ll prepare and manage customs documentation for import and export shipments. This is an on-site position in a fast-paced logistics environment where accuracy and attention to detail directly impact client satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review customs documentation for shipments, including entry forms, invoices, and bills of lading
• Ensure all entries comply with relevant customs regulations, including classification, valuation, and duty assessments
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and customs officials to resolve issues and provide shipment status updates
• Address discrepancies or issues related to customs entries and work toward timely resolution
• Provide customer service, answering questions about customs processes and documentation
• Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Skills/background needed:
• Experience in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, international trade, or a related logistics field
• Proficiency with relevant freight forwarding software systems
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Contract length: Full-time, permanent
