Email Marketing Specialist – Contract, Entry Level

About this role:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic marketing professional to join our team on a full-time, temporary contract basis for approximately five months. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in email and digital marketing while working with a supportive team on real campaigns.

What you’ll do:

You’ll work on creating and managing email marketing campaigns, including writing copy, building audience lists, setting up automated emails, and coordinating with internal teams. Your responsibilities will include:

• Plan, create, and execute email marketing campaigns with copywriting, audience targeting, and creative coordination
• Manage the email calendar and coordinate messaging with team members
• Develop promotional copy while maintaining consistent brand voice across all campaigns
• Create and manage paid search and retargeting campaigns to build awareness and generate leads
• Use marketing database systems to create targeted campaigns based on audience segments
• Understand email compliance laws and best practices, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR
• Track campaign performance and suggest improvements based on results
• Support junior team members with training and guidance as needed

Skills/background needed:

• Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or similar tools
• Familiarity with marketing database systems and CRM software
• Strong copywriting skills and ability to adapt messaging for different audiences
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of digital marketing channels including paid search and retargeting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize, multi-task, and work effectively with teams
• Self-motivated and creative problem-solving approach

We welcome candidates with a marketing background or equivalent hands-on experience in marketing communications, advertising, or copywriting. Previous agency experience is a bonus, but not required. Full training will be provided.

Contract length: Approximately five months, full-time

Work Environment:

This is an on-site position based at our office headquarters. New team members will work fully on-site during the training period. Once trained, the role operates on a hybrid schedule with flexibility to work from home on certain days as business needs allow.
