I am looking for a beginner-friendly editor to complete a final proofread and copyedit of a doctoral dissertation that has already been defended and approved. This is a copyediting and proofreading role only – no research, content development, or major rewriting involved.
Roles: Proofread and copyedit the manuscript for grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, clarity, consistency, and formatting. Review headings, tables and figures, capitalization, italics, and numbers for consistency. Cross-check in-text citations against the reference list to flag missing references, uncited references, and inconsistencies in author names or publication years.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Skills/background needed: No prior experience required – full training provided. A careful eye for detail, comfortable using Microsoft Word, and a willingness to follow formatting and citation guidelines is all you need to start.
Work format: Fully remote and work from home. Flexible hours, work from anywhere.
