This is a full-time position focused on written communication and documentation within food operations and inventory management. You’ll work on creating clear, accurate written content for ordering, inventory tracking, and team coordination in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role:
You’ll be responsible for preparing and managing written orders, monitoring inventory documentation, and creating clear communications between team members and vendors. This role involves maintaining accurate records, drafting purchase orders, and ensuring all written procedures are followed correctly. You’ll also help develop written promotional materials and coordinate special order documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit purchase orders using proper procedures
• Monitor and manage written reports for orders and credits
• Complete required documentation including inventory worksheets and temperature logs
• Communicate ordering needs and issues clearly in writing with team leads and vendors
• Assist with special order documentation and customer communications
• Prepare and maintain accurate pricing and product information in writing
• Support inventory documentation and record-keeping
• Ensure all written procedures are followed and compliant with health and safety standards
• Attend training sessions and required meetings
Skills/background needed:
No prior experience required. You’ll receive full training in all systems and procedures. You should have:
• Basic math skills
• Ability to write clearly and communicate effectively with team members and vendors
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow written procedures and instructions
• Reliability and punctuality
• Willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods during an 8-hour shift
• Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Comfortable working in both dry and wet conditions
• Ability to work around food preparation areas
