About the role
We are looking for an entry-level Technical Writer to support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives. In this role, you will work with teams to develop clear, accurate documentation that meets regulatory standards and helps organisations stay compliant with environmental requirements.
This is a great opportunity to develop technical writing skills in a meaningful field while learning how environmental regulations work and how documentation supports large-scale projects.
What you’ll be doing
• Prepare and review environmental regulatory documents and reports
• Develop permit applications and compliance certifications
• Produce technical reports and regulatory submissions
• Research and interpret environmental regulations
• Create and maintain procedures, plans, and training materials
• Support project teams with document development, editing, and compliance tracking
• Respond to data requests, audits, and enquiries
Skills/background needed
• Bachelor’s degree (in any field)
• Strong writing and organisational skills
• Ability to understand and explain complex requirements clearly
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Willingness to learn environmental regulations and compliance processes
Nice to have
• Background in environmental studies, policy, or regulations
• Experience with government or regulatory organisations
• Familiarity with environmental compliance programmes
