About This Role

We’re looking for a hands-on marketing coordinator to manage the full customer and prospect lifecycle. You’ll own everything from nurturing leads and keeping customers engaged, to planning trade shows and writing content that builds trust. This is an execution-focused role where strategy comes from leadership, and your job is to bring it to life reliably and creatively.

What makes this role different: our success comes through relationships and credibility, not marketing volume. Most of our best customers come from referrals and industry events. You’ll amplify that by keeping us top-of-mind, making every event count, and ensuring no lead falls through the cracks.

What You’ll Do

Prospect and Customer Nurturing

Own ongoing email campaigns for prospects, customers, and key accounts. Make sure trade show leads and “not now” prospects enter nurture programs instead of disappearing. Work with sales and customer success teams to identify opportunities for customer growth and expansion. Build recurring communications that support retention, upgrades, and additional services. Identify customer wins that can become testimonials, case studies, or trust-building content. Use your CRM system to set up automated workflows and sequences.

Content and Thought Leadership

Write and schedule recurring email campaigns: educational content for existing customers, nurture emails for prospects, and pre/post-event sends. Write and promote blog posts aligned with SEO direction (we provide the strategy; you execute). Turn company wins into case studies, testimonials, and reviews. Repurpose strong content across channels and use AI tools appropriately to draft and produce faster. Publish 1–2 blog posts per month.

Social Media and Website

Keep Facebook and LinkedIn active with 1–2 posts per week, repurposing blog and email content. Promote your presence before, during, and after trade shows. Respond to social comments and reviews. Make periodic updates to the website using basic editing (no professional design experience needed).

Lead Tracking and Reporting

Make sure every new lead in your CRM is tagged with its source (referral, event, web, advertising, etc.) so the team knows what’s working. Produce a simple monthly report showing lead sources and funnel health. Own event lead capture end-to-end: get badge scans and booth conversations into your CRM and into follow-up sequences within days. Manage the process for generating and tracking customer and partner referrals.

Trade Show Planning and Logistics

Manage the company’s trade show calendar: handle registrations, sponsorship deadlines, booth services, and company profiles. Coordinate booth setup, swag shipping, travel, and hotel logistics. Run pre-event checklists to confirm staffing, book meetings, and prepare follow-up sequences. Identify speaking and sponsorship opportunities. Work with leadership and sales to identify target accounts and meeting goals. Deliver a short post-event recap with lead counts, meetings held, and lessons learned.

Success in Your First 90 Days

Trade show season runs smoothly on a documented checklist with no missed deadlines. A monthly customer email and steady social posts are live and on-brand. Every new lead carries a source tag. Leadership receives a monthly lead and funnel report they trust. Event leads are followed up within one week through repeatable sequences.

What This Role Is Not

Not a strategy or leadership role—leadership sets direction; you focus on reliable execution. Not a CRM architecture project—you’ll use the system fluently, not build complex automations. Not a large paid-media role—advertising budgets are modest. Not a heavy social media or video production role.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

Essential:

4+ years of hands-on B2B marketing experience, ideally supporting a relationship-driven sales team. Strong writing ability: you can shift between practical educational emails, a CEO’s voice, and human-readable blog posts. Working knowledge of CRM systems (email, lists, forms, basic workflows, reporting). Real event and trade show operations experience—you’ve managed deadlines, vendors, shipping, and travel before. The fractional mindset: self-managing, deadline-driven, and comfortable adjusting hours up during busy seasons and down during quieter periods. Comfort using AI tools to draft faster without letting them run on autopilot.

Bonus skills: WordPress, Canva, Google Ads, SEO experience, or familiarity with the outdoor hospitality industry.

Why This Works as Fractional

This role scales naturally. During busy event seasons, you’ll flex up your hours. In quieter months, you’ll step back. You’ll have a seat at the marketing meeting and real input on strategy, but the focus is on execution. You’ll work closely with the sales leader and event support team, with regular check-ins to keep everything on track.

This is an independent contractor position. We’re looking to build a long-term partnership with someone reliable, organised, and comfortable wearing multiple hats.
