We’re looking for a Freelance Proposal Writer to help prepare funding proposals for research and innovation initiatives. You’ll work with a diverse team on project-based assignments, typically lasting between 4 and 12 weeks.
The Role
In this role, you’ll support the development of compelling, technically sound proposals. You’ll work with clients to understand their innovations and translate technical concepts into clear, persuasive written content. Your main responsibilities will include researching funding opportunities, drafting proposal sections, editing for clarity and impact, and ensuring all documentation meets submission requirements.
Skills/background needed:
University degree in any field (IT, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or other scientific or technical backgrounds are preferred but not required).
Experience in a technical role involving the preparation of proposals, reports, research papers, technical manuals, or similar documentation.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Strong research, analytical, and interviewing skills.
Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Prior experience with federal research funding proposals is desirable but not required – full guidance will be provided.
Contract length: Freelance, project-based. Assignments typically last 4–12 weeks.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Location: Fully remote – work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection.
