The Role
We are seeking a Freelance Proposal Writer to support the preparation of research and innovation funding proposals. You will work with innovative companies to develop compelling, technically sound proposals for federal research and development funding programmes.
This is a freelance, project-based opportunity. Assignments typically last between 4 and 12 weeks, giving you flexibility and variety in your work.
Skills/background needed:
You will ideally have:
- University degree in a scientific, technical, or engineering field (or relevant equivalent experience)
- Experience writing technical documents such as proposals, reports, scientific papers, or technical manuals
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Excellent analytical and research abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with federal research funding programmes is a bonus, but full training will be provided on the job.
