Role Description
This is a remote freelance opportunity to write articles covering professional sports. You’ll create and edit content including game reactions, roster moves, draft coverage, injury updates, rumors, and analysis of major sports events.
If you follow sports closely and have opinions on the action, this is your chance to turn that passion into published work. You set your own angle and schedule, working entirely from home.
Your articles will be distributed across multiple platforms and news networks, giving your writing genuine reach and visibility.
What You’ll Do
Write original sports articles on topics of your choice within your area of expertise
Edit and refine your own work for clarity and impact
Communicate regularly with the editorial team to stay aligned on content strategy
Work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision
Skills/background needed: Strong passion for sports, excellent writing and communication skills, ability to work independently, comfort with team communication via messaging apps. Previous freelance writing, understanding of basic SEO principles, or knowledge of social media content distribution are helpful but not required. No prior professional experience necessary.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application. This is a commission-based role where earnings are tied to individual article performance, with no upper limit on earning potential.
