About the role:
We’re looking for a writing instructor to teach online courses in composition and writing fundamentals on a flexible, as-needed basis. This is an excellent opportunity for writers who want to develop teaching experience while working from home.
What you’ll do:
• Deliver online writing courses focused on first-year composition and writing fundamentals
• Provide written and verbal feedback to students on their coursework
• Participate in professional development and training activities to stay current with teaching best practices
• Hold virtual office hours and connect with students to support their learning
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and course coordinators
• Model professionalism and serve as a mentor within the learning environment
Skills/background needed:
• Degree in English, Writing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent writing experience)
• Experience teaching writing courses or working with writers in a teaching capacity
• Strong communication and feedback skills
• Comfortable using digital tools and learning platforms for online instruction
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
• Passion for helping emerging writers improve their skills
