Position Summary:
This is an entry-level grant writing role where you’ll help identify and secure funding for programmes and projects. You’ll work with minimal supervision as you develop your skills, conducting research and preparing grant applications from start to finish. Training will be provided throughout your onboarding process.
What You’ll Do:
• Write and edit grant proposals and applications with clear goals, methods, and success measures
• Research funding sources and compile information about available grants
• Coordinate with colleagues across teams to gather information needed for applications
• Prepare reports and materials about funding opportunities
• Attend meetings and workshops to stay updated on funding regulations and requirements
• Manage timelines to ensure applications are completed on schedule
• Communicate with internal teams and external partners about grant opportunities
• Support colleagues in identifying and applying for suitable funding
• Complete administrative tasks related to grant applications and records
Skills/Background Needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Two years of related experience in grant writing, grant research, or programme administration (or a combination of education and work experience that demonstrates capability)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed guidelines and regulations
• Comfort with research and data analysis
• Ability to organise multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
• Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs)
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
