We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong writing skills and a passion for supporting community initiatives to take on a meaningful role.
About the Role
As a Grant Writer, you will identify, develop, and manage funding sources to support program activities and operational needs. You will take ownership of the complete grant application process—from initial research through final submission. Your responsibilities will include:
• Research grant opportunities and industry funding trends
• Develop compelling grant proposals that clearly communicate organisational mission and impact
• Prepare detailed grant applications with supporting financial and programmatic information
• Collaborate with team members to gather data and programme details needed for proposals
• Build and maintain relationships with funding agencies and private foundations
• Manage reporting and contract compliance for funded programmes
• Meet strict application deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences about programme offerings and outcomes
Skills/background needed: Bachelor’s degree and experience in grant writing, fundraising, or a related field. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent proofreading abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively with people from diverse backgrounds. Experience with deadline-driven projects, strong organisational skills, and the ability to think critically and creatively are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva is required.
